  • Schedule:

Editorial Illustration = necesary, somewhat boring, yet really informative class. Necesary, because freelance is where 70% of illustrators end up at some point, boring because its not really where I'd LIKE to be, but informtative because the prof teaches us how to think about the process, and he's a really good artist to boot.

Intro to Sequential Art = first "comic-making" class. (Seqa covers so much more than that, just to keep you informed.) Professor is a hoot and a half, so it makes the class that much more exciting and...to be looked forward to. I'll post my first comic exercise if it grades well.

Survey of Illustration= Off to a bad start; missed the first class entirely on Monday because I thought it was on Tuesday. Go me... not a terribly thrilling class but also necesary. Teacher is alright so far.

Happy because: this is a long weekend. I mean really long. Also gives me lots of time to get ahead in classes. (I'm also happy cause Shelley got me a calendar with happy fairies on it!)

Sad because: I have class from 2-7:30 on my b-day to make up for Monday's canceled classes. Suckage. Friday is supposed to be our day off, by gum.

The weather is very up and down here. Kind of like me!

I entered a DisneyWorld vacay contest. Because I miss it AND I'm running low on cash! Sad, sad day.

I miss Bridget, too. Sadder day.

  •  So. I recant about the laptop. Not only will it not recognize flash drives and therefore be useless for data transfer, but it died again.

I shoulda cleaned it off when I had the chance, right? Ah well. I'll wait another...year...for it to work.

So my hearing hasn't worsened in the last 12 months; thats good news. The bad news is I know just how bad it is. Testing lady said "normal" people would have to wear earplugs in the classroom to hear what I hear. I don't know what kind of earplugs she was talking about, cause the kind I've worn keep me from hearing any normal level volume of conversation or music.

And for the sake of being specific, I have mid-low range loss; I can hear higher pitches better, but have problems discerning sounds "a, o, u, b, m" and a few other constanants.

So! Diction is the bees knees.

Thats all for now I guess. I'm in a weird mood.

~Laura (currently bored out of her mind)

This is a good song, kids. Goood song.
